An exciting improvement for this year is an InkaOranage paint job. This color has a racing history as the BMW and Porsche Jagermeister race cars of the '70's, '80s and '90s.

After three years, it was time to improve the car's appearance.

Preparing a car for painting, even a race car, can be a lot of work.

Seventeen pounds of bondo later, the car is starting to look okay.

Masked, sanded and ready to prime.

Ken and Wes discuss the best way to get the vinyl on.

Retired Racer Martha peeks out the window and offers her professional advice.

Girlchief cleans up trim and wheels before reinstallation.

In order to paint a car, you have to strip all the trim off. That means you have to put it in back on.

Brake lights, bumpers...

... door trim and everything else you can think of. It's a lot of work.

Now painted, #180 raced at Mission in April of 2004.
