Strictly BMW -- Strictly BMW is an independent BMW shop located in Bellevue, WA. They usually race BMWs, but are racing a Mazda Miata in a professional Spec Miata series for 2003. They have been helpful and supportive of my racing, answering questions, ordering hard-to-find parts and going the extra mile to help out.

Unofficial BMW -- A great source of technical information on BMWs, run by fellow E30 racer Dale Beuning.

Haury's Lakecity Collision -- Haury's is owned by Jeff Butler, a BMW and Alfa club HPDE instructor (and a fantastic driver). The quality of Haury's work is very high, and I strongly recommend them. Haury's can be reached at (206) 365 1565.

Armadillo Racing -- Armadillo provides the Northwest with a variety of racing supplies, safety equipment, books, parts and other accessories. The proprietor, Andy Collins, is always tremendously helpful and draws on a wealth of knowledge to meet racer's specific needs. He can be counted on to show up at every Conference race south of the Canadian border.

Mike Kolbet -- An engine machinest who loves race engines, Mike is used by many Puget Sound businesses and racers. He also applies his skills and attention to detail to more mundane street engines. He works from Kirkland Autoparts. (425) 822 8216.

Muffler King -- The folks that did my race exhaust. The price was fair, and the quality of work was very high. They clearly understand what needs to be done for a race car. I highly recommend them for any exhaust work. (425) 821 8382.

Proformance Race School -- Don Kitch's school provides quality track time and excellent instruction. Ask Don about his watch if you get the chance.

Dr. Injector, Eastside -- A fuel injector specialist and karting enthusiast. The owner does a great job, and offers a good discount for BMW CCA members and racers. (425) 558 9161.

Carb Connection -- A Seattle engine tuner with chassis dyno. Handily located within about 300 yards of my house.

Rainbow Action Photography -- Racing photographs by Gerry Frechette, the Conference official historian and proprietor of Rainbow Action Photography. He specializes in professional images of automobile racing. To view or purchase images, login as 'gerryf' with 'rainbow' as a password.

Lime Rock Park Movie -- a great PBS documentary that captures what is best about racing -- the people, the place, and the feel of a long day at the track. Hopefully Chris Szwedo is working on the sequel -- club racing in the Pacific Northwest!

BMW Car Club of America -- If you own a BMW, or are thinking of it, join already! For $35 a year you get a great independent magazine, and a 10-15% discount on parts and labor at most independent BMW shops (ask first). Additionally, if you have been a member for a year, BMW of North America offers a $500 - $1500 rebate on any new or CPO car you purchase, beyond what you negotiate with the dealer. If you're in the Puget Sound region, you're also blessed with Zundfolge, which contains my UnSage Mechanic articles.

BMW Club, Puget Sound Region -- Seattle's local BMW club. Find answers to your Bimmer questions on the bulletin board, or join us for a HPDE event, a scenic drive, or a museum visit.

International Conference of Sports Car Clubs -- I race in the International Conference of Sports Car Clubs (aka ICSCC, aka "Conference"), an administrative body founded in 1957 with the goal of regulating safe and fun amateur sports car racing in the North Western United States and Western Canada. Conference regulated races are run at Pacific Raceways, in Seattle, WA; Portland International Raceway, Portland, OR; Mission Speedway, Mission, BC; and Thunderhill Raceway Park, Willows, CA.

how stuff works -- Wanna know how an engine works? Suspension? Brakes? A thermonuclear bomb? A catheter? This is the place.
